englischThe ongoing discussion about labour standards and corporate due diligence in global supply chains continues. Evidently, labour standards and due diligence are no longer a voluntary issue. This work identifies governance gaps in global supply chains and examines the regulation of labour standards and due diligence through soft law and hard law approaches. The author provides an overview of existing labour standards and due diligence at international, European and national levels, as well as in the area of private self-regulation. In this context, the increasing juridification of labour standards and due diligence is highlighted.
Die anhaltende Diskussion um Arbeitsstandards und unternehmerische Sorgfaltspflichten in globalen Lieferketten reißt nicht ab. Dabei ist ganz klar: Arbeitsstandards und Sorgfaltspflichten sind keine rein freiwillige Angelegenheit mehr. Das Werk deckt Governance-Lücken in globalen Lieferketten auf und untersucht die Regulierung von Arbeitsstandards und Sorgfaltspflichten durch Soft Law und Hard Law-Ansätze. Dabei schafft die Autorin einen Überblick über bestehende Arbeitsstandards und Sorgfaltspflichten auf internationaler, europäischer und nationaler Ebene, wie auch im Bereich der privaten Selbstregulierung. Bei alledem wird die zunehmende Verrechtlichung von Arbeitsstandards und Sorgfaltspflichten herausgearbeitet.
