This book presents current research findings which focus on specific problems regarding the changes to labour and industrial relations due to transnationalisation.
As part of a first topic area, transnational labour markets and employment systems as well as the requirements of social and labour rights concerning transnational labour migration are examined.
A second topic area is dedicated to actors, institutions and forms of regulation in the field of transnational industrial relations.
In relation to the third topic area, numerous contributions discuss the impact of interculturalism, digitisation and virtuality on modern working environments, such as working in transnational teams.

Die Welt der Arbeit und die historisch vor allem national bestimmten Arbeitsbeziehungen sind zentrale Brennpunkte eines vielschichtigen Prozesses der politischen, ökonomischen, gesellschaftlichen Transnationalisierung.
Der Band präsentiert aktuelle Forschungsergebnisse, die sich in interdisziplinärer Perspektive ausgewählten Problemen des Wandels der Arbeit und der Arbeitsbeziehungen durch Transnationalisierung widmen.
In einem ersten Themenfeld werden transnationale Arbeitsmärkte und Beschäftigungssysteme untersucht sowie sozial- und arbeitsrechtliche Anforderungen, die transnationale Arbeitsmigration betreffen. Ein zweites Themenfeld widmet sich Akteuren, Institutionen und Regulierungsformen im Bereich transnationaler Arbeitsbeziehungen. Das dritte Themenfeld versammelt Beiträge, die danach fragen, wie Interkulturalität, Digitalität und Virtualität moderne Arbeitswelten, etwa das Arbeiten in transnationalen Teams, beeinflussen.
