Die strukturalistisch orientierte Analyse arbeitet die psychodynamischen Argumentationsschichten in verschiedenen Positionen der theologischen Anthropologie bei Romano Guardini, Friedrich Hölderlin, Peter Wust, Gabriel Marcel, Otto F. Bollnow, Max Müller, Wilhelm Weischedel heraus. Damit gelingt es, den Humanismus und somit die Differenz zwischen philosophischer und theologischer Anthropologie herauszuarbeiten. Bis zur Überschreitung der Grenze zur Theologie entfalten die Autoren eine tiefe Einsicht in die Grammatik des Dramas der Person und der Kultur.
