englischIn times of globalisation and digitalisation, the examination of processes of transformation in the arts is of particular relevance; for their creative minds are advancing to become decisive agents of change. The editors and contributors to this publication address the subject of transformation both theoretically and through concrete case studies, using cultural practices and artistic processes as examples. It is about Europe, Germany and France, it is about theatre and film, about internal and external cultural politics, and above all it is about developments in a civil society's self-understanding of cultural diversity. In the examination of social transformation processes in which art and culture play a decisive role, this international volume of the German-French doctoral programme "Kulturvermittlung / Médiation culturelle de l'art" of the University of Hildesheim and the Aix-Marseille Université enables cultural-sociological as well as socio-political observations, analyses and reflections of the researched transformation processes in its different approaches and in the composition of the authorship. Geographically, they range from Brazil, to France, Belgium, to Germany, to Eastern Europe and to the Mediterranean region (Tunisia, Lebanon, Palestine); in terms of content, they deal with questions of identity in Europe, forms of memory and urban development processes as well as the use of new technologies and discuss the necessary consequences in the arts. The University of Hildesheim and the Aix-Marseille Université have been cooperating since 2001, thanks to funding from the Franco-German University, with the establishment of a joint Franco-German degree programme in Cultural Mediation / Médiation culturelle des arts in Cultural Studies, which has been supplemented since 2013 by the establishment of a Franco-German doctoral college.
In Zeiten von Globalisierung und Digitalisierung ist die Auseinandersetzung mit Prozessen der Transformation in den Künsten von besonderer Relevanz; denn ihre kreativen Köpfe avancieren zu entscheidenden Akteuren des Wandels. Die Herausgeber und Beiträger dieser Publikation beschäftigen sich sowohl theoretisch als auch anhand konkreter Fallbeispiele mit dem Gegenstand der Transformation am Beispiel kultureller Praktiken und künstlerischer Prozesse. Es geht um Europa, Deutschland und Frankreich, es geht um Theater und Film, um Kulturinnen- und Kulturaußenpolitik, vor allem geht es um Entwicklungen einer zivilgesellschaftlichen Selbstverständigung über kulturelle Vielfalt. In der Auseinandersetzung mit gesellschaftlichen Transformationsprozessen, in denen Kunst und Kultur eine entscheidende Rolle spielen, ermöglicht dieser internationale Band des deutsch-französischen Promotionskollegs „Kulturvermittlung / Médiation culturelle de l’art“ der Universität Hildesheim und der Aix-Marseille Université in seinen unterschiedlichen Zugängen und in der Zusammensetzung der Autorenschaft kultursoziologische sowie gesellschaftspolitische Beobachtungen, Analysen und Reflexionen der erforschten Transformationsprozesse. Sie reichen geographisch von Brasilien, über Frankreich, Belgien, nach Deutschland, in das östliche Europa und bis in den Mittelmeerraum (Tunesien, Libanon, Palästina), beschäftigen sich inhaltlich mit Fragen der Identität in Europa, Formen der Erinnerung und Stadtentwicklungsprozessen sowie mit dem Einsatz neuer Technologien und diskutieren die notwendigen Konsequenzen in den Künsten. Die Universität Hildesheim und die Aix-Marseille Université kooperieren dank der Förderung durch die Deutsch-Französische Hochschule seit 2001 mit der Einrichtung eines gemeinsamen deutsch-französischen Studiengangs in Kulturvermittlung / Médiation culturelle des arts in den Kulturwissenschaften, der seit 2013 durch die Einrichtung eines deutsch-französischen Promotionskollegs ergänzt wird.
