englischThe study elaborates that jazz is not only a musical style, but also a processual way of making music. This is connected with the assumption that the essence of jazz lies in the process as a procedure and not in the jazz music that emerges from it as a product. This insight offers a special music pedagogical potential, which has so far received too little attention in the school context. On the basis of a process model developed in the course of the work, possible music didactic perspectives are worked out and the effects on the aesthetic perception as well as the criteria for the evaluation of a performance are illuminated. The jazz process can be particularly well related to the paradigm of the performative. The processual understanding can show potentials of a performative music education in practice and at the same time legitimize it on a theoretical level.
Die Studie arbeitet heraus, dass es sich bei Jazz nicht nur um einen Musikstil, sondern auch um eine prozessuale Art des Musikmachens handelt. Damit ist die Annahme verbunden, dass das Wesen des Jazz im Prozess als Ablauf liegt und nicht in der daraus als Produkt hervorgehenden Jazzmusik. Diese Erkenntnis bietet ein besonderes musikpädagogisches Potential, das bislang im Schulkontext noch zu wenig Beachtung findet. Anhand eines im Laufe der Arbeit entwickelten Prozessmodells werden mögliche musikdidaktische Perspektiven herausgearbeitet und die Auswirkungen auf die ästhetische Wahrnehmung sowie die Kriterien für die Beurteilung einer Performance beleuchtet. Besonders gut lässt sich der Jazzprozess mit dem Paradigma des Performativen in Bezug setzen. Das prozessuale Verständnis kann Potentiale einer performativen Musikpädagogik in der Praxis aufzeigen und gleichzeitig auf theoretischer Ebene legitimieren.
