englischThis PhD thesis explores the nature of artificial intelligence (AI) advisers. It investigates whether these systems are merely tools or exhibit some human-like agency characteristics. Through a combination of conceptual analysis and experimental studies, the research finds that AI advisers hold a unique position between simple non-AI tools and full-fledged human agents. The findings raise both philosophical questions about the nature of AI and practical implications for the use of AI advisers in our evolving digital landscape.
