englischTeachers in nursing education sometimes find the start of their career and phases of their professional life very stressful. Using guided interviews, Tara Engelmann identifies stress factors such as the reform of nursing education towards generalist training, the workload, the discrepancy between theory and practice and the Covid-19 pandemic. In addition to the implementation, preparation and follow-up of lessons, the author also identifies identity and role-finding as well as acceptance within the team as particular challenges when starting out in the profession. With her qualitative study, Tara Engelmann provides valuable results that can be used, for example, to formulate recommendations for action.
Lehrende in der Pflegepädagogik empfinden den Berufseinstieg und Phasen ihres Berufslebens teils als sehr belastend. Mittels leitfadengestützter Interviews identifiziert Tara Engelmann Belastungsfaktoren wie die Reform der Pflegeausbildung hin zu einer generalistischen Ausbildung, das Arbeitspensum, die Diskrepanz zwischen Theorie und Praxis sowie die Covid-19-Pandemie. Als besondere Herausforderungen im Rahmen des Berufseinstiegs identifiziert die Autorin neben der Durchführung, Vor- und Nachbereitung des Unterrichts auch die Identitäts- und Rollenfindung sowie die Akzeptanz im Team. Mit ihrer qualitativen Studie liefert Tara Engelmann wertvolle Ergebnisse, die z.B. für die Formulierung von Handlungsempfehlungen genutzt werden können.
