englischThe author takes interdisciplinary scientific findings as an opportunity to give attention to the consideration of developmental and maturing processes within criminal law interpretations of general criminal law. Rather than focusing on age limits, the dissertation‘s key issue is the interpretation of general criminal law in line with development and age of the offender. The scientific findings that state an extension of the developmental phase of youth are put into relation to criminological findings. Jurisdiction is analysed to determine the extent to which it takes into account the individual developmental stage of the accused. On this basis, perspectives are developed on how the approaches developed in juvenile criminal law can be made fruitful in general criminal law, especially in the interpretation of conditional intent.
