englischThe liability of cartel facilitators, i.e. undertakings that are neither competing on the market nor have a product related connection to it, was first confirmed by the ECJ in its AC-Treuhand decision. Against this background, this thesis examines the possibilities of subjecting cartel facilitators to European Antitrust Law. Based on a game-theoretic analysis, the author develops a consistent theory of harm invoked by cartel facilitators and examines its applicability in the public and private enforcement of antitrust law.
