englischThis book is a collection of the best contributions to a conference organised jointly by the media economy branch of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Publizistik- und Kommunikationswissenschaft (German Society of Journalism and Communication Studies) and Netzwerk Medienstrukturen (Media Structures Network) which revolved around the question of how and on the basis of which sources do the results of research into the structures, economy and management of the media emerge. The authors of the studies published here offer a provisional answer to this question by considering existing research systematically, reflecting on their own research projects, suggesting less conventional research methods or evaluating the accessibility and usefulness of sources of information. The variety of methods and approaches discussed here ensures that this book will become an essential companion to research and teaching.

With contributions by:

Cornelia Wallner; M. Bjørn von Rimscha & Juliane Lischka; Maria Karidi & Michael Meyen; Manfred Kops; Jens Woelke & Frank Marcinkowski; Steffen Kolb & Mathias Oertel; Leyla Dogruel; Marcel Verhoeven; Jörg Tropp & Andreas Baetzgen; Pamela Przybylski, Klaus-Dieter Altmeppen, Denise Voci, Matthias Karmasin, Funda Güngör & M. »Alles in allem leistet der Band einen wichtigen Beitrag zur Diskussion um mögliche und sinnvolle methodische Herangehensweisen in der Forschung zu Medienökonomie und Medienstrukturen.«
