englischWho stays and why? What ensures an employee’s long-term loyalty? The study translates its findings about employee commitment to senior managers of diaconal care facilities for older people. It concisely evaluates the impact of superiors, the team, the company, the institution, jobs and careers. The approach differs between environmental, company related, and personal factors.

The study provides guidance to developing successful action strategies. It lists a wide range of commitment strategies and provides a variety of recommendations.

The study also develops an individual and employee based commitment management strategy based on five different bonding types. These models function as a diagnostic tool and help identifying commitment factors and dimensions. This commitment screening method can be transferred to other areas of social welfare and non-profit organizations.
