This is particularly relevant for cooperative banks in view of an ongoing concentration process at the level of cooperative primary banks. Building on earlier work on this topic, this study reveals initial relationships between cultural elements and merger processes, especially in the post-merger integration phase, using a case study and exploratory data analysis. In addition to the implications for culture-sensitive merger management resulting from this, the book discusses the potential and limitations of a quantitative assessment of the phenomenon and the suitability of the measurement instruments used.
Unternehmenskulturen werden im Rahmen von Fusionen eine besondere Bedeutung zugeschrieben. Dies ist insbesondere für Genossenschaftsbanken angesichts eines anhaltenden Konzentrationsprozesses auf der Primärbankebene relevant. Aufbauend auf früheren Arbeiten zum Themenkomplex werden anhand eines Fallbeispiels und unter Verwendung explorativer Datenanalysen erste Zusammenhänge zwischen Kulturelementen und Fusionsprozessen, insbesondere in der Integrationsphase aufgedeckt. Neben den daraus ableitbaren Implikationen für ein kulturbewusstes Fusionsmanagement werden gleichzeitig die Möglichkeiten und Grenzen einer quantitativen Erfassung des Phänomens sowie die Eignung der verwendeten Messinstrumente diskutiert.
