englischFranziska zu Reventlow’s novels have long been received as autobiographical references to her ‘scandalous’ life. Focusing instead on the narrative strategies and intermedial structure of her work, this study foregrounds Reventlow’s ironic deconstruction of cultural and literary traditions as well as her own public persona. The authorial myth surrounding Reventlow’s work and persona is explored as the effect of complex interplay between her self-fashioning and literary texts.
