englischThe internet is increasingly becoming part of the everyday experience of younger and younger children. While the age at which children first experience the internet has been falling continuously since the turn of the millennium, internet-enabled devices are being integrated into everyday life more and more as a matter of course. But what influence does the internet have on children's perception of reality?

Renée März uses children's drawings to examine the significance of the internet in children's everyday lives as well as children's motives, perspectives and ideas. The author evaluates her picture-related interviews based on the drawings, including children's self-interpretations, with the help of grounded theory and art-pedagogical picture hermeneutics.
