englischFew notions dominate discussions as persistently as the demand for (more) transparency. At times, transparency seems to have become a universal problem-solving mechanism in public discourse. Due to its lack of codification, employment law is considered to be user-unfriendly and confusing, i.e. non-transparent. By introducing ever more comprehensive obligations on employers to inform their employees, attempts are being made to better protect employees from ignorance of their rights or to enable them to exercise existing rights. In this volume, the author examines the role of such obligations to inform under employment law and how effectively they are implemented.
