Soziale Welt

Soziale Welt, ISSN 0038-6073, is one of the leading sociology journals published in German. It is characterised by its clear focus on empirical studies and publishes contributions that aim to describe, explain and understand social conditions, relations and changes using qualitative and quantitative data. This journal, which is steeped in tradition, aspires to provide the field of sociology with new impetus and actively shape its development by publishing programmatic contributions, such as those by renowned authors like Hans Albert, Ralf Dahrendorf, Karl-Dieter Opp, Renate Mayntz and Helmut Schelsky that it has published in the past.

Soziale Welt will appeal to academic institutes at universities; domestic and foreign research institutions; administration, economics and education academies; schools; libraries; ministries; administrative bodies, especially welfare and youth welfare offices, health authorities, employment authorities, church and charity organisations as well as civil society lobby groups.

Soziale Welt is included in the Social Sciences Citation Index and in Scopus.
