20 Jahre Verbundstudiengang Sozialmanagement

In the context of this review of the part-time master's program in social management at the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences, the subjective assessment of graduates with regard to the quality of the program and the resulting career opportunities is asked. The starting point is the twentieth anniversary of the program. Within the framework of a quantitative individual case study, 94 graduates who obtained their degree between the summer semester of 2007 and the summer semester of 2018 were interviewed and the results subsequently discussed and evaluated. The study is embedded in theoretical explanations of social management as an academic discipline in its own right and of the organization and study concept of an in-service degree program in general. In addition to evaluating the study concept, the work also serves to further optimize the study program with regard to promoting the professional development of its graduates.
