The conference proceedings document the presentations from the two-day symposium. A wide range of current topics are discussed. Starting with communal heat planning, an overview of contractual regulations, implementation in urban land-use planning and the permissibility of heat pumps under building planning and building regulations is provided. This is followed by a compilation of current topics in the BauGB, the simplified adaptation of livestock facilities, the repeal of § 13b and changes in the catalogue of presentation and fixations, § 249a and the special regulations for biomass facilities. Three practical articles present measures taken by Berlin and Dortmund to combat the housing shortage and the digitalisation of the urban land-use planning process in rural areas.
