Description
The book presents a critique of the naturalistic worldview in the form of several theses. It is aimed at readers with an interest in philosophy who wish to gain a broad overview of naturalistic positions in philosophy. Naturalism is expressed, for example, in the claims that we live in a post-metaphysical age, there is no objective truth, AI systems can think, free will is merely an illusion, morality is purely subjective, or consumer-oriented globalization should be viewed positively. In doing so, the naturalistic worldview—in contrast to existing literature—is subjected to critical evaluation from both a Hegelian and an analytical perspective.
