Despite the high practical interest in the commercialization of aspects of personality rights, an independent personality property right has not yet been generally recognized. This paper therefore answers fundamental questions on whether and how the aspects of personality rights can be commercialized. In doing so, it is clarified which characteristics a personality aspect must have in order to be exclusive and transferable. Furthermore, the limits are shown in which the holder of the right and third-parties can commercialize aspects of personality rights. As a result, it becomes clear that the holder of the right can only achieve maximum protection when a personality property right is recognized.
