The Federal Republic of Germany ratified the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) in 2009. The implementation of the right to inclusive education (article 24 CRPD) has become a highly controversial topic in the country. The author explains the legal impact of the convention in Germany.
