Description
The author demonstrates the potential of the revised Sale of Goods Directive to promote sustainable consumption while addressing all three sustainability agents, namely the manufacturer, seller and buyer. Following a holistic approach, references are also made to fair trading law and public law regulations and the interdependencies between the various regulatory instruments are presented. The regulations of the Ecodesign Directive and the Directive on Common Rules Promoting the Repair of Goods, which are important for the Right to Repair, are also discussed. The recommendations are examined for their practicality, enforceability and ecological relevance.

Reviews
