Anwendungsfelder der (Teil-)Automatisierung von Auskunftsanfragen nach Art. 15 DS-GVO

To be able to respond to data subject access requests without undue delay and generally within one month, data controllers must actively prepare for requests and take precautions to ensure swift processing. Could automation of the right of access and its handling provide a remedy? To what extent would this be possible? And how do tax authorities deal with the requirements of Art. 15 GDPR in view of their extensively digitalized and automated administrative procedures? In her dissertation, the author looks at the legal foundations, examines the possibilities of formalizing natural language texts and explores concrete fields of application for automating the right of access in practice.
