Work, health, and aging are fields of industrial and organizational psychology that overlap in many ways and have been the subject of research for years at the Institute of Work and Employment Studies at Leibniz University Hannover. The articles in this volume address the following topics: (1) Cognitive behavioral therapy for individuals suffering from burnout syndrome; (2) Gratification-critical experiences in the workplace and mental disorders; (3) Pay for Performance—when performance is the only thing that counts; (4) Working in old age? Age-sensitive work-time structures for better quality of time and longer retention in the workforce; (5) Older employees and the transition to retirement.
