Armut erforschen

Inter- and transdisciplinary poverty research is characterized by a variety of theoretical and methodological approaches. The contributions provide insight into current debates and approaches in poverty research. One focus is on agency of the poor and its theoretical and methodological foundation. In addition, the question of which perspectives for poverty policy arise from the research is discussed.
Ortrud Leßmann's main areas of work: capability and living conditions approach, justice, sustainability, social investments; Kai Marquardsen: poverty and precariousness, unemployment, activating social policy, stubbornness.
