Armut und die Corona-Krise

The current coronavirus crisis is unprecedented in multiple respects, and another lockdown especially could have devastating economic, political and psychological effects on society. As a result, poverty could increase dramatically and become deeply entrenched in social structures, with the result that fundamental alternatives to our neoliberal economic and societal model would need to be found. A genuine and comprehensive commitment to solidarity with the victims of poverty seems to be necessary because the coronavirus continues to polarise and divide the world and its societies. In this book, the author devises a comprehensive approach to combating poverty and discovers the Green New Deal as an escape from the downward spiral of global poverty.
