Description
The reprocessing of medical single use divices has special meaning because of the saving potential for health facilities. Besides safety doubts, this procedure raises legal problems. Long disputed was the question whether the name of a product as a single use product by the manufacturer has influence on the legitimicy of an alternate usage.
The author has a look at this question once more. Not the ban norms but the definition of the medical devises are in the center of his explanations. An interpretation of this definition shows that medicine products must be intended for the application at humans by the manufacturer. From this the author concludes that the name single use product can already have influence on the being of a medicine product. The consequences of that interpretation are shown in particular.
