Automatisierung im Internet

Automation is an essential part of the online experience. Yet, behind this ever more comfortable – and growingly inscrutable – feature of the Internet hides a complex technical process whose legal implications remain inadequately explored. From the lens of the automated process, this work illuminates the implications of selected Internet phenomena upon copyright and rights of expression. Examples of automation resulting in right infringements are contrasted with those employed for rights protection in order to identify the role of automation within the dynamic interactions of right holders, service providers and users. Along with novel solutions and interdisciplinary approaches, this work provides an overview of a range of Internet law problems and hence addresses a wide audience.
