Beruflichkeit in netzwerkförmiger Wertschöpfung

Based on the examination of two vocational training schemes in the field of industry-related services, this study shows that vocationalism as an institutional category is still relevant under circumstances of network-based value creation. Nevertheless, there is no network-specific regulation of work through vocational institutions. Instead, inconsistencies regarding work practices that result in institutional stagnation can be observed. These findings contribute to the debate around the future of vocationalism in Germany and provide insights into future strategies regarding the creation, modification and use of vocational training in the context of network-based value creation.
