Betriebliche Öffentlichkeiten in Arbeiter:innengenossenschaften

This study examines the structure and quality of workplace publics as democratic spheres in worker cooperatives. It analyzes how the structure of self-managed enterprises facilitates the collective sharing of workplace experiences. The results show that, through their democratic processes, these spaces also facilitate collective engagement with issues such as individual workplace problems. However, this is not an automatic process but requires the active participation of employees. The study is based on three workplace case studies involving qualitative interviews, which provide insight into the specific daily work life within cooperatives. The study is intended for researchers and practitioners in the field.
