This edition of the Rosenzweig Yearbook is based on the 2014 congress of the International Rosenzweig Society, which took place under the title “Nach dem Stern der Erlösung. Franz Rosenzweig in Frankfurt: Bildung, Sprachdenken, Übersetzung”, which took place at the Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main. In a series of important places and events in Franz Rosenzweig's intellectual biography, Frankfurt am Main was the final stop. The contributions in this volume shed light on the focal points of Rosenzweig's thinking during his almost ten years in Frankfurt, in which he addressed the central questions of Jewish existence in the early 20th century: Jewish learning, the tradition of education, language and language thinking as well as the theory and practice of translation.
