Description
What do scholars of civil law know too little about? Like any mature discipline, civil law scholarship has developed methods, perspectives, and routines—but also blind spots, i.e., areas in which regulatory strategies or scholarly approaches are inadequate, contradictory, or completely absent. This volume explores these blind spots. From among the proposals submitted by young researchers in all German-speaking countries, 15 topics were selected in a blind peer review process, presented at the 35th GJZ Annual Conference in the Rheingau region, and illuminated thoroughly in this volume. The contributions paint a colorful picture of the perspectives of civil law research in the 125th year of the German Civil Code (BGB).
