Brückenschlag

The German-Turkish relations have a long tradition. This specifically applies to the law in Turkey, some of which was adopted from Germany. Against this background, exciting questions regarding comparative law arise: How is the same problem solved in the other legal system? Do the two legal systems come to different solutions? Or is the result similar, but the path to it is different? These questions are examined in nine articles with a specific focus on German and Turkish constitutional law, civil and criminal law as well as fundamental and human rights in order to contribute to a mutual (legal) understanding.
