Description
Bureaucracy is bad when it creates avoidable workloads and legal uncertainty. However, data protection regulations are necessary when they are required to protect fundamental rights and the public interest. Insofar as regulations serve this purpose, they must also be implemented in a consistent, effective, and efficient manner. The presentations and discussions documented in this book from the 27th Wiesbaden Data Protection Forum explore the question of where data protection regulations are necessary and where superfluous bureaucratic regulations and practices can be identified and eliminated.
