Kulturelle Werteversprechen und Geschäftsmodelle von Kirchenbanken auf dem Markt für ethisch-nachhaltige Finanzen
Nomos, 1. Edition 2023, 274 Pages
Description
How ‘Christian’ is ‘sustainability’? To what extent can trust and religious values still be used to establish a business model today? Against the backdrop of the increasing importance of ethically sustainable financing in the wake of the recent political agenda, religious actors such as banks from the Christian religion sector are also becoming increasingly important. These claim to have a ‘Christian DNA of sustainability’. This study addresses the question of whether it is possible to speak of ‘sustainable Christian’ financing in a clear-cut way by examining both strategic management and its operational implementation. In doing so, the study shows how the management measures implemented generate a corporate culture that enables business to be conducted with a clear conscience and consolidates the position of church banks in the ethically sustainable financing market.
