Compliance is also of increasing importance in amateur sports clubs. If violations of state and association law obligations occur within amateur sports clubs, this can result in severe sanctions for both the legal entity of the registered club and its board of directors. The work therefore comprehensively examines the liability and punishment risks existing within amateur sports clubs and provides the board with clear recommendations for action to minimise these risks. In addition, the work examines the extent to which the board can relieve itself of its compliance obligations by delegation and whether the umbrella association can be sanctioned for compliance violations by its member clubs.
