Description
This is the Russian-language version of the proceedings of the Liège Conference of the European Association of Legislation (EAL) which was held in 1993. The English-language version will be available summer 1996 as Volume 2 in the EAL series. Ten authors from various European countries explain techniques for improving the drafting of legislation in the various national branches of law (common law, codified law etc.) and legal systems in Europe. The contributions cover in detail the increasingly serious problem of transposition of European Directives into national law.
Comparative research is needed on ways and means of bringing closer together the different legislative "styles" in the various European law cultures. The European Union will be unable to progress unless there is a better understanding of national law in the various Member States.
The views conveyed at this conference will be of assistance in improving legislative drafting techniques as both a science and an art.
