Edited by
Dr. Felix Koltermann
Nomos, 1. Edition 2021, 145 Pages
Description
Visuality in journalism is generated through different practices by various actors. Through a mixture of academic essays and interviews, this anthology addresses how this happened during the coronavirus crisis and which image discourses developed from it. The authors are lecturers on the degree course ‘Photojournalism and Documentary Photography’ at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Hannover and examine the topic from different disciplinary perspectives. The volume will appeal to those who want to look behind the scenes of visual journalistic communication and learn more about the work of photo editors, photojournalists and data journalists (among others) during the pandemic.
