This dissertation provides an intensive insight into the legal situation regarding the contingency fee until 01.10.2021 and an outlook on the change in the law as of October 2021. The subject of the dissertation is, in particular, the conflicting relationship of the lawyer with regard to the enforcement of his client's rights, compliance with (professional) law and, in particular, the protection of his own interests, taking into account the economic analysis. In addition, the legal classification of so-called collection service providers and commercial litigation financiers will be examined.
