The work is dedicated to the question of how the Federal Constitutional Court helps its decisions to achieve optimum effectiveness. The question arises in particular because, at first glance, the legislature has hardly provided the court with any means of enforcing its decisions. In fact, however, the FCC has a sophisticated range of enforcement mechanisms at its disposal. These go beyond standardised means and combine formal and informal instruments. The study incorporates internal impressions of the norm-setting process under enforcement procedure law by utilising guided interviews with former constitutional court judges
