Medical transport legislation is linked to many fields of law, leading to numerous problems in the area of social law, constitutional law and procurement law. In this study, the legal framework in the field of supply of benefits for ambulance services is described systematically. Therefore, the study is of high practical relevance.
The author focuses on general information about benefit legislation, taking into account the connection of social law and federal state law as well as constitutional law. Moreover, controversial issues are discussed, such as the problem of unnecessary ambulance service. The author also analyses the conditions for the allocation of medical transport benefits in consideration of current procurement law. Finally, the author deals with the issue of remunicipalisation, i.e. the provision of benefits by the municipality.
