Das Maß der Sehnsucht

This essay on longing tells the story of my search for the meaning of this mysteriously indeterminate power of every human being, in the depths of which a valid measure of our being was revealed. Could the awareness of one's own longing possibly give each individual the freedom of a self-determined existence and thereby (potentially) guarantee the peaceful coexistence of all people? In order to shed philosophical light on this wondrously ambivalent life energy of longing, a freely associative form and a high tone were required. This can also be found in the book in the literary testimonies of some companions who would like to invite us to trace the timeless moments in our own existence.
