Das Phänomen „Digitaler Hass"

Hate on the Internet not only hurts those directly affected – no less than democratic society itself is threatened. This anthology offers a comprehensive interdisciplinary examination of various facets of the phenomenon of "digital hate. For this purpose, findings from social science, communication and media studies, linguistics and criminology are brought together: Commentary analyses provide information about which content causes hate and how it is expressed. An interview study sheds light on the motives of the authors and the effects on those affected. Other authors examine escalation structures and the question of who is particularly targeted by hate.
