Description
What is the voice? What is one's own voice? And is there a right to one's own voice? In this volume, Christoph Engel-Bunsas combines his long-standing fascination with the human voice and his experience as a professional singer with legal expertise to explore these questions from a national and comparative legal perspective. While many countries explicitly recognise a right to one's own voice, German law lacks such a right. The author takes this gap in protection, which is now being exploited by disruptive technologies, as an opportunity to appeal to the German legislature to introduce a right to one's own voice as soon as possible. To this end, he formulates a legal policy proposal.
