Description
Although we are conscious beings, it is puzzling to us where this consciousness comes from. If, as traditionally assumed, the physical has no consciousness at all, it is not very plausible to assume the origin of consciousness in the physical. Therefore, Christoph Rothenbühler deals with consciousness as an independent reality. Examining this facet of the mind-body problem, he focuses on non-physicalist theories of consciousness and refers to David J. Chalmers. The aim of the paper is to discuss the compatibility of irreducibility with property dualism. The author thinks this further and develops his own property-based ontology.
