Das Videoprotokoll als Perspektive für den deutschen Strafprozess?

For the first time, the work deals extensively with the question of the introduction of an audiovisual documentation of the criminal trial. To this end, the work first provides a comprehensive overview of legal systems that already make profitable use of audiovisual documentation. On the basis of these results, possible advantages and disadvantages of a video transcript are then analysed, with the focus on its use in the appeal proceedings. The study comes to the conclusion that the introduction of a video transcript strengthens the search for truth in criminal proceedings and that there are no objections to it.
