Datenschutz und Digitalpolitik in krisenhaften Zeiten

This open-access volume brings together selected contributions from the 2025 annual conference of 'Plattform Privatheit'. It examines how geopolitics, artificial intelligence, economic pressures and rapid technological change challenge data protection, GDPR governance and the protection of European fundamental rights in times of crisis. Beyond this overarching theme, the contributions address a broad range of privacy-related topics, including synthetic media, AI companions, informed consent, IoT privacy and questions of governmental action in the digital space. The authors combine expertise in law, computer science and social sciences, addressing researchers, practitioners and policy-makers alike.
