Description
The emergence of generative AI is challenging our relationship with images, videos and voice recordings. We can no longer rely on our own perceptions to correspond to reality. The legal system must find a response to this development.

This work examines the conditions under which deepfakes are covered by current criminal law, takes into account non-criminal law approaches such as the AI Regulation, and, through a comparative legal analysis with France, the USA and South Korea, develops a proposal for a new criminal law provision.

The book is aimed at legal scholars and practitioners, as well as stakeholders in internet policy, the media and civil society.

The author works at the Research Centre for AI and Robotics Law.
