Description
This treatise typologises various forms of citizen participation from the perspective of legal application, in which randomly selected citizens influence political-administrative decisions in a structured procedure. In doing so, it brings these increasingly important formats more strongly onto the radar of German constitutional law scholarship. It also takes this as an opportunity to restructure the discourse on a constitutional model of democratic legitimisation in order to bring its core purpose - the reservation of state power potential for public-benefit purposes - back into focus. A plea for an interdisciplinarily informed, but methodologically disciplined legal dogmatics of democratic legitimisation.
