Deliktische Sorgfaltspflichten in transnationalen Lieferketten

Even after the introduction of the German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act, the question of companies’ liability in transnational supply chains remains relevant. The monograph offers an innovative and thorough examination of the scope of liability in supply chains under German tort law, thus also contributing to the discussion on legal responsibility for the negative consequences of economic globalization. The relevant law is structured and categorized and the monograph examines how companies’ due diligence obligations can be shaped by soft law standards. As the organizational risks of transnational supply chains are currently only partly addressed by tort law, various options to develop the law further are discussed.
